Sinigang

Sinigang
Sinigang is a refreshing soups and one of the famous Filipino dishes because of the unique flavor it give. Sinigang has different variations it can be sinigang na isda (fish), sinigang na baboy (pork), sinigang na hipon (shrimp), sinigang na baka (beef), and sinigang na manok (chicken) all of that includes vegetable like white radish, water spinach, yardlong beans, and eggplant sinigang uses tamarind or any ingredient to make it sour but most of Filipino people love sinigang na baka because it is more tasty especially if you add some green long peppers. Sisig

Sisig is a Filipino dish made from parts of pig head and chicken liver, usually seasoned with calamansi , onions and chili peppers. Sisig was first mentioned in a Kapampangan meaning “to snack on something sour” and “salad”. Sisig is one of the Filipino Cuisine because of its unique flavor. Filipino’s love this dish especially if they are drinking alcohol it is one of their “sumsuman” because of this spiciness and flavorful. Sisig is very popular dish in the Philippines not for dinner neither lunch. This is popular in terms of family gathering because we all know that if there’s a gathering it involves alcohol and Sisig is the perfect snack.

Lumpia

Lumpia is a traditional Filipino dish and the best finger food. There are different types of spring rolls/lumpia, a delicious lumpia were you can only found in the Philippines. One is Lumpiang shanghai is filled with carrots and ground pork that is the main ingredients in making lumpiang shanghai but if you want to add some onions or vegetable it’s fine, second is lumping togue the main ingredients of this is of course the togue and other vegetables, this is for vegetarian people, third is Lumpiang Ubod that is originally made in Silay, Negros Occidental they used fresh palm vegetable and a bit of meat. Those different types of lumpia are wrapped with “lumpia wrapper”.

Lumpia is more delicious when it’s dipped fry and crunchy with matching sauce. You can dip it on different types of sauce it can be a vinegar with onions, ketchup, or spicy sauce but lumpia is delicious whether it has a sauce or not.
